Robert began his career on Wall Street managing assets for high net worth clients. After much success, he joined his family business as a broker covering all areas of Manhattan.
He is currently the broker specialist for several of Gumley Haft’s prestigious properties including 103 East 75th Street, 61 East 86th Street, 12 East 87th Street, 45 East 80th Street, 65 East 76th Street, 300 East 93rd Street, and 444 East 84th Street.
In addition to selling cooperatives and condominiums throughout Manhattan, Rob has a special expertise in investment properties, and works with developers to find unique properties suitable for condominium development and condominium conversions.
He has been selected by Bank of America to serve as one of their exclusive brokers to market bank re-owned properties after a foreclosure proceeding.
Robert also serves as Gumley Haft Kleier’s Chief Information Officer. In this capacity, Robert was asked to participate, as one of eight executives, in the development of a proprietary web portal for the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), called www.residentialnyc.com. He also sits on the REBNY Listing Service (RLS) committee of firm managers and listings software vendors, which meets to discuss technological issues and advancements in the industry.
Robert Morgenstern is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Real Estate at NYU with a concentration in Finance. His undergraduate degree is in Finance from the University of Maryland.
Robert recently passed the rigorous LEED N/C v2.2 exam to become a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. The LEED AP designation, administered by the US Green Buildings Council is reserved for professionals who demonstrate an understanding of the complex criteria required for buildings to atttain LEED Certified status. Robert consults with landlords and developers about the opportunities to attain LEED Certification for existing properties and potential new developments.
Robert currently resides on the Upper East Side with his wife Sabrina Kleier Morgenstern, son Cooper, and shitzu Dixie. They are members of the Central Park Conservancy and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Robert has previously lived in Greenwich Village, Gramercy Park, and the Upper West Side.
Robert was named “One of New York’s Top Real Estate Agents Under 30” in the “The Real Deal” a leading NY real estate publication. He has also been featured in the New York Times, The Observer, and New York Magazine.
