Cody joined Gumley Haft Kleier in 2004 working under the President, Michele Kleier, one of Manhattan’s top Brokers. In this capacity she learned all aspects of Real Estate brokerage, and helped ‘behind the scenes’ with everything from Board Packages to organizing open houses to creating press kits and listing properties for sale. With all that experience and know-how behind her, Cody took a logical next step in her career: Becoming a full-time sales associate marketing all those coops and condos with which she was so familiar.
Cody was born and raised in Westchester County, where her family has been involved in real estate since the late 1800’s. Her great grandfather was an architect and builder in Northern Westchester. Her grandfather bought and converted local real estate into apartments during the 1940’s which her family still owns and run today.
After graduating from the Grier School, a small private boarding school in Tyrone PA, she spent time abroad in Madrid before attending the University of Miami and graduating from Syracuse University.
She began her career in Real Estate assisting her grandfather in running and managing his apartment buildings in Westchester. After moving to Manhattan she worked in management and new construction rentals, and then joined Gumley Haft Kleier in 2004.
